Many people who grew up in the area return after their time in London, attracted by the excellent quality of life and the abundance of outdoor activities, from cycling to open-water swimming in nearby Rutland Water.

Notable villages like Medbourne, Lyddington, and Great Easton are among the most sought-after locations. For Denise and Stephen Cable, who moved to Drayton almost two decades ago, the area’s charm and the vibrant local town of Market Harborough were major draws. “The town is thriving, with a great mix of big brands and independent boutiques,” says Denise, who runs a property staging business.
