Lancashire police urge public to help locate Nicola Bulley, missing for three days near the River Wyre.
Police are expressing deep concern for the welfare of Nicola Bulley, a 45-year-old dog walker who has been missing for three days. She was last seen on January 27, walking her dog near the River Wyre in St Michael’s on Wyre, Lancashire.
Nicola was spotted that morning on a footpath close to Garstang Road, but has not been heard from since. Authorities have conducted extensive search efforts, involving drones, police dogs, and support from local emergency services such as Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue. The North West Underwater Search Team has also been assisting in the search, with local volunteers joining the efforts.
Nicola, a resident of Inskip, Lancashire, is described as white, 5ft 3in tall, with light brown shoulder-length hair. She has an Essex accent and was wearing a black gilet jacket, black jeans, and olive green ankle wellies when she disappeared. Her brown spaniel, which she was walking at the time, has been found.
Chief Inspector Chris Barton from Lancashire Police said, “We are extremely concerned for Nicola’s safety. Our investigation is ongoing, and we are working tirelessly to piece together what happened. We encourage anyone with information, particularly those who may have seen her on Friday morning and not yet spoken to police, to come forward.”
Authorities are keeping an open mind regarding the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and have asked for the public’s help in locating Nicola. “We understand the concern in the local community, but please avoid putting yourself at risk when assisting with the search,” Barton added.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Lancashire Police on 101, quoting log 473 from January 27, or to report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
